The Cars have confirmed what everyone was expecting the four surviving members of the new wave hitmakers will release a reunion album this Spring. Move Like This will be released on May 10. Ric Ocasek, Elliot Easton, David Robinson and Greg Hawkes regrouped last summer before posting a photo of themselves working in the studio on Facebook. They've since released clips of some of their new songs. The only missing original member is bassist/vocalist Benjamin Orr, who died from cancer in 2000. Hawkes has taken over bass duties.

Move Like This will be The Cars' first album of new material since 1987's Door to Door. The album's first single is called Sad Song, and will be released in mid-March.

Thanks for the report to Gibson.com.

Orr only sang lead on a handfull of songs. Ocasek was always the main lead singer

Not true - it wasn't exactly half and half, but Benjamin sang a great number of their songs, including some of their biggest hits. On some songs it was a bit difficult to tell them apart, even for dedicated fans, but they shared lead vocal duties quite a bit.

Its been way too long since this great band has released any material; I just hope it lives up to the legacy. Although, it can't be worse than most music being released right now. Can't wait
