Seattle-formed band Walking Papers, featuring GNR and Velvet Revolver bassist Duff McKagan, Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin and Missonary Position singer-guitarist Jeff Angell and keyboardist Benjamin Anderson, revealed the lyric video for "The Whole World's Watching," Loudwire reports.

After being issued independently late last year, Walking Papers' self-titled debut album is getting a full-on release via Loud & Proud Records on Aug. 6. The disc has been mixed by Jack Encino (Soundgarden, Nirvana).

"The Whole World's Watching" also features a guest appearance by Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, who lent his talents to a few songs on the disc to help out his friends.

"It was inspired by people around the world who have the courage to stand up for their beliefs and make their voices heard," says Angell about the song. "We hope that 'The Whole World's Watching' shows our support for them and encourages others to follow their lead."

Walking Papers will join Alice in Chains and Jane's Addiction on the 2013 Uproar Festival set to kick off on Aug. 9 in Scranton, Pa.

It sounds pretty cool, but the lyrics feel like a slam poetry reading.
I'm totally going to read the lyrics to this at my school's next slam poetry reading now.
    Worst band name ever
Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters would like to have a word with you.
You daft, brah? Foo Fighters is an epic band name - "Hey, guys, I have an idea; ya know those weird little UFOs that nearly all pilots on both sides of WWII reported seeing? Yeah, let's name our band after them." Granted, it probably didn't go exactly like that...
