The Goo Goo Dolls have rolled out a batch of spring dates ahead of their first new studio release in four years, "Something For The Rest Of Us." The alt-rockers launch the month-long slate April 6 in Augusta, GA, at the Rock Fore! Dough benefit concert. The outing veers between venues in the Northeast and South for the bulk of the itinerary, which concludes May 5 in Louisville, KY. Details are shown below. Information on pre-sale opportunities can be found at the band's website. 04/06 - Augusta, GA - Rock Fore! Dough 04/08 - Wilmington, NC - Trask Coliseum 04/10 - Oswego, NY - SUNY Campus Center 04/13 - Hershey, PA - Hershey Theatre 04/15 - Hampton Beach, NH - Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom 04/17 - Erie, PA - Penn State Behrend 04/20 - Richmond, VA - The National 04/21 - Norfolk, VA - The NorVa 04/23 - Greensboro, NC - War Memorial Auditorium 04/24 - North Charleston, SC - Performing Arts Center 04/27 - Orlando, FL - Hard Rock Live 05/02 - Nashville, TN - Ryman Auditorium 05/04 - Knoxville, TN - Tennessee Theatre 05/05 - Louisville, KY - Louisville Palace Theatre "Something For The Rest Of Us," the band's ninth album and first since 2006's gold-selling "Let Love In," is due in stores later this spring. The group recorded the new studio effort in its hometown of Buffalo, NY, and in Los Angeles. Producers Tim Palmer (U2, Switchfoot) and Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Paramore) both were brought in to assist on the sessions, along with mixer Mike "Spike" Stent (Radiohead, Dave Matthews Band). "We pretty much walked in with the band we play with and made a record, which I think is gonna show during the live performances," bassist Robby Takac told in December. "Originally, we were going to put it out in the fall and we decided to put it out in the spring instead, so we had a little bit of time to listen through," he added. "I think it really lead us to be pretty hyper-critical about what's on the record. There's a few things we want to tend to, so I think we're gonna get a great result." "Let Love In" peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200 in 2006, with lead single "Better Days" reaching No. 3 on the singles charts. Thanks for the report to
