Nickelback man Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne - better known as 'Chavril' - say they're planning the most unique wedding ever, with a rock n' roll twist.

Chad Kroeger says his fiancé Avril Lavigne is planning "the most unique wedding this planet has ever seen."

Chad, better known for fronting Nickelback, told Mens Health that he and Avril will give the ceremony a "rock n' roll edge".

"She's got great ideas. I would have gone a little too traditional, I think, and she's giving it a real rock 'n' roll edge. The groomsmen won't be wearing piano neckties, [but] let's just say she's taking the bull by the horns and steering the ship towards what is going to be the most unique wedding that the planet has probably ever seen.

"We [grooms] get such an incredibly small chunk in terms of what we can actually participate in," he said. "I get control over nothing. I just show up. But I'm glad, because she has... traversed these territories before. These are unchartered waters for me. So it's nice to have her to guide me through this."

Chad refers to the fact that Avril was previously married to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley from 2006 for three years. Whibley recently dressed as the Nickelback singer for Halloween, but as usual Chad was quick to fire a witty retort: "Hey Deryck loved the costumes! we were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes haha!"

I bet this unique wedding will consist of Avril wearing a black wedding dress and Converse because shes not like other girls
If it truly is a "unique" wedding, this marks the first time Nickleback has ever done anything unique.
The whole "every song sounds the same" argument needs to go away, forever. Can you identify a Nickelback song if you heard one? Yes. Chad voice sticks out like a sore thumb. Just like Metallica. But "This Means War" and "Far Away" do not in any way sound the same.
Really? Because when I hear them they both kinda sound similar to crap. Sorry, I must not be a connoisseur of fine music such as yourself.
I think you only listen to what radio stations feed you. That's just sad.
I hear ya, if they say its going to be a unique wedding with a rock n roll twist, then I will bet on them getting hitched in Vegas by an Elvis impersonator
I like Nickelback, but do I really need to read how big this wedding is going to be? Not really news if you ask me.
Nickelback do not deserve the hate they are getting, I mean the new album is complete shit, but they did write good songs before then.
Why the need for all this b.s? Just seems like the first in a line of retarded public shenanigans that'll lead straight to divorce court.
Yes they're generic and so on, but hey, if they're together and love each other, then I'm happy for them. I still won't listen to their music, though.
Chavril should just be shortened to chav. I think its a more descriptive term of who they are.
Most unique? You can't be more unique than anything.
I said something similar to this, exactly on an article concerning them, and suddenly i received a warning that i was getting banned if i commented something like that again....since that, when i see something similar about them, i know there's gonna be a SHITLOAD of comments like yours, so i have to peek and laugh at UG...i really hate some of the closed minded mods around here...i know i'm getting banned for this... On another story...i find it kind of strange and ironic he's saying "it's good she has been married before...she knows what to do..." I would not be that comfortable with that if i was getting married...
lol that was for the comment up there...the one made by "Nero Galon" i don't know why the reply came to this one...
Linda Ronstadt looked really hot when she sung "I never will marry" on the Johnny Cash show. That's my opinion on the topic.
Unique is one of a kind, so this is 'most' one of a kind. Wait, it's more than a wedding, it's a marriage wedding. Why couldn't one of those two marry an American so they'll no longer be Canadian... At least we'll always have Rush...
