Veteran thespian and heavy metal fan Christopher Lee has been speaking with the BBC about his new album.
The record, released to coincide with Lee's 92nd birthday, features covers of a number of songs in a heavy metal style. Included on the record are two songs from the "Don Quixote" musical "Man of La Mancha."
As Lee notes, he chose the songs because of the protagonist's metal credentials:
"As far as I am concerned, Don Quixote is the most metal fictional character that I know. Single handed, he is trying to change the world, regardless of any personal consequences. It is a wonderful character to sing."
Lee also offered his thoughts on the relationship between heavy metal and fantasy:
"I associate heavy metal with fantasy because of the tremendous power that the music delivers."
Lee's new album, titled "Metal Knight," also features heavy metal re-imaginings of "The Impossible Dream" and "My Way."
