You might be surprised to hear that a music fan would risk life and limb to see Nickelback perform, but that's what happened when one man fell 40 feet down a gorge while trying to sneak into one of their live shows. "An individual who appeared to be intoxicated, and who was outside the venue, apparently lost his footing and slipped down the embankment that runs along SPAC's Route 50 parking lot," said a representative of the venue. His drunk footing caused him to step over the edge of the Geyser Brook Gorge where he fell 40 feet, but was lucky enough to only suffer bruises and cuts. Firefighters soon came to the rescue with a basket to carry him out. Let that be a lesson: beer and Nickelback don't mix. Of course, it's easy to slam Nickelback for being a fairly pedestrian mainstream rock band. Really, it is. But they know how to deflect criticism, sometimes with a brilliant sense of humor that we can only applaud. Frontman Chad Kroeger says the band have fun coming up with ways to respond to their haters. "It's just like when you got guys all sitting around together, you know, we'll hear about something and, you know, we laugh. Whoever comes up with the most comedic thing, it's like, 'Oh, that's good. We have to tweet that.'"

Nickelback, the new Randy Blythe. Tomorrow on UG, "According to blabbermouth, Nickelback has been arrested by police for manslaughter."

I've said this before and will say it again, I honestly don't understand the pure hate that some people have for Nickelback! Animals Side of a Bullet This Means War Just To Get High Next Contestant Flat On The Floor and more all brilliant rock songs!! I really don't like KISS or Motley Crue, but I don't hate, I would rather have them over chart pop shit any day! If you don't like it, turn away and listen to something else or read about a band you like. I know, dislike central now but feck it! Keep Rockin' People!
Mostly because its "cool" to hate nickelback

Two theories: Either he didn't want to be seen by anyone buying a ticket to a Nickelback concert, or he heard them playing from outside the venue and jumped into the gorge to escape the horrible, horrible noise coming from inside

Most of those songs have nice riffs now and then, but they're simply too generic, even if you don't know the band, you'll sort of know what's going to happen next in most of their songs! Don't get me wrong, Nickelback were a great part on my childhood/young teenager years and they do have talent, but they chose to use it to make radio-friendly generic Rock. And besides what my joke earlier might point to, I don't hate or despise them. If a Nickelback song plays now and then in a party, I'd probably try to enjoy it, instead of completely despising it.

Hahah that almost happened to me, except I was lost in the Spac ground trying to find where the concert area was (no joke took me and my friend 30 minutes of walking through the woods to find it.

In other news, WWE Raw is no longer using Nickleback's "Burn it to the Ground" as the show's theme song.
