Lady Gaga has caused some controversy after mistakenly posting a picture of a Metallica concert on Instagram and claiming it was hers. As Blabbermouth reports, the photo of the crowd, which Gaga claimed was from her show at Canada's Festival D'ete in Quebec over the weekend, was actually taken from Metallica's performance at the same festival in 2011.
The caption that accompanied the picture read as follows "Those little dots are fans, and that's our stage and lights beaming from the center. Unreal 90,000 ppl showed up! What a magical night #artraveQuebec"
Gaga's appearance reportedly drew roughly 40,000 less people than the 130,000 attendees that showed up for Metallica's gig at the same event three years earlier.
Lady Gaga will be joined on tour this summer by BabyMetal - the heavy metal offshoot of the Japanese pop idol group Sakura Gakuin. Dates are as follows:
07/30 - Phoenix, AZ - US Airways Arena 08/01 - Las Vegas, NV - MGM Grand Garden Arena 08/02 - Stateline, NV - Harveys Lake Tahoe 08/04 - Salt Lake City, UT - Energy Solutions Arena 08/06 - Denver, CO - Pepsi Center
