Led Zeppelin have released a new video for a previously-unheard version of their classic 1969 single "Whole Lotta Love" – watch it above.

The video, which can be seen below, comprises footage from several live performances of the song. The "new" version, entitled "Rough Mix With Vocal," features on an expanded version of "Led Zeppelin II," which is being released alongside similar reissues of "Led Zeppelin I" and "Led Zeppelin III."

As NME notes, the rough mix was recorded during the album's eight-month sessions in 1969 at various studios by producer Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin's guitarist. Page has overseen the remastering and additional tracks for the three reissued albums, which will be released on June 2. Each album has a second disc featuring unreleased studio and live songs.

Page said of the "Rough Mix With Vocal" version of "Whole Lotta Love:" "It's the mix from the night we recorded it, so it doesn't have any of the overdubs everyone will be familiar with." Bassist John Paul Jones added: "It hadn't developed into the juggernaut it became in later years. But it's fresher, I think." Singer Robert Plant said: "You can see how songs grow. There are five or six other takes which aren't present, so the shaping of these things is very interesting. With this particular version, we hadn't reached the point yet, but it's very, very close."

Right on, this is cool! Someone must've been in a pretty big hurry to post the article though: "Led Zeppelin have released a new video for a previously-unheard version of their classic 1969 single "Whole Lotta Love" – watch it above . The video, which can be seen below, "

Uuuhhh, UG may have its share of imperfections and sometimes derpy editing, but Blabbermouth is like The Sun of metal. They've mastered cutting quotes out of context.

Its nice to hear a new raw version of a song we have all heard a thousand times. the lack of guitar solo was disturbing though.

A well written song can be played in many ways. This is was a great song and this "rough mix" proved it.

Love this! It is great to hear some of this stuff, it gives you a whole different take on the song. The single vocal track is real cool. Hopefully they release more stuff like this for all the albums, especially the later ones like Houses of the Holy, Physical Graffiti and Presence.

If you look up, above yourself, long and hard, you'll see it. The new Led Zeppelin video. Floating up there in the heavens. But you'll only see it if you believe you will. After all, believing is seeing.

I stared at the ceiling, and lo and behold, the video appeared before my eyes. I started tearing up, then a pop-up ad appeared on my computer monitor and ****ed up my intense moment... At the end of the day, get popup blocker, kids!

I like this a lot Honestly, aside from the Theremin bit (vocals seemed weak) and the absence of that lead coming out of that section, I like the overall feel of this one a little better than the final cut.
