Out of all the ways to bite the big one, death by an M&M certainly isn't among the classy ones, especially for such rock star as ex-Oasis Liam Gallagher of Beady Eye. But it turns out that the tiny candy almost had the frontman pushing the daisies after a last month's incident.
The singer has recently revealed getting caught up in a life threatening situation when least expecting it - during a hotel stay on holiday, The Sun reports.
"I've done some stuff over the years but never, never did I think a f--king blue M&M would be the thing that could have killed me," Gallagher started. "I was in a hotel on holiday and got in about the mini bar. I was bored and hungry, so it's what you do, man. I've always liked M&Ms so I got into them. I had a blue one."
And that's when the things got tricky, with the allergic reaction kicking in within mere seconds, sending the singer into an anaphylactic shock. "My mouth started to swell up and I could feel it tightening my throat, man. I had to go to the docs and get it checked out straight away. It happened again a couple of weeks after and now I've got to carry a syringe about with me in case of emergencies. Proper Pete Doherty gear."
In another recent story, Gallagher went on a rant regarding the music fans not too fond of his singing, which he went on to call "f--king idiots."
"I'm sick of f--king idiots saying I can't sing, you know what I mean? So I thought f--k this, no effects, none of that double tracking as much," the vocalist said. "Let's get in there bare, this is how I sound, man. This is how my voice sounds so hopefully people will like it and get off my f--king back ... It's how I sound round the f--king house or on the back of a camel or whatever."
