The Seattle Police Department has been sued by a conspiracy theorist after releasing previously undeveloped photos from Kurt Cobain's suicide scene.
Richard Lee, a self-described investigative journalist, has claimed that the department should have released the photos long ago, as he believes that they prove Cobain was murdered. The Seattle Police have claimed that the images contain "nothing Earth-shattering."
As Seattle PI reports, detective Mike Ciesynski, who found the undeveloped rolls of film, has released the following statement:
"Sometimes people believe what they read ... Some of the disinformation from some of the books, that this was a conspiracy. That's completely inaccurate. It's a suicide. This is a closed case."
According to Seattle PI, Richard Lee is known for making "groundless assertions" that Kurt Cobain was murdered. The 50 year old has also run for mayor on several occasions, and hosted the public access show "Kurt Cobain Was Murdered." He is representing himself in the suit.
