One Direction say that fans' mother's hit on them more than young people do.

"The X Factor" 2010 rejects admitted that they were regularly propositioned by parents who accompany their daughters to concerts.

Harry Styles, 18, believes they think they might be able to date him because he enjoyed a relationship with "Xtra Factor" host Caroline Flack, who is 14 years older than him.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "The fans can sometimes get very graphic and there are a few mums that hit on us."

Zayn Malik, 19, boasted: "Mums are more confident than their daughters and so they will go the extra mile to grab you and suggest things."

Louis Tomlinson, 20, added: "Ask Harry - they just go for it. They will grab and pinch and it gets quite tricky."

And Liam Payne, 18, said: "The mums are fearless."

The group which also includes Niall Horan say they were fighting off older women on their recent American tour and expect to do the same at British gigs later this year.

They denied that boss Simon Cowell, 52, had imposed a sex ban.

Louis said: "It was ridiculous. Do they think someone stands over us?"

Thanks for the report to ContactMusic.com.

Well its hard for a person (Fans of One Direction) to hit on anyone if they havent reached puberty yet.

I'm surprised any woman wants to date them. It looks like they're having enough fun all by themselves in the picture (in reality, they were caught by surprise).

This news is indeed worthy of being a guitar website, what with the music they play being the complete opposite of "Guitar based music".

How do 5 gay guys walk? In One Direction.

When I first glance at the headline I read it wrong and thought the mothers of the guys in the band wanted to date us here on UG. THAT would have been an interesting article.

1D is catchy and their big song is built on a clean guitar riff. I don't have a problem with them because I took my head out of my ass a long time ago and realized pop is a genre not for musicianship (for the most part) but just fun. It's harmless guys. While I believe there should be more guitar oriented artists' stories up here before 1D, it's better than another LIAM GALLAGHER IS MEAN or SLASH WENT TO THE BATHROOM story imo. Anyway this story is pretty funny

Did Courtney, Dave, Gene or Leham have nothing to say today?

That's probably because half of the mothers nowadays are just as old as them.

Whatever, no harm no foul. The moms are ghoing to be disappointed when they find out the band is gay.

these guys' riffs are pretty good but they need to work on their lead guitar, its not all about playing as fast as you can.

Personally, i think they are horrible but you can't say they aren't livin the dream

What, you're saying you wish they were bisexual? Okay then, whatever flots your boat, dude.

Why the hell is this on here? I've got no problem with the group - I don't like them, but then that stands to reason as they're not aimed at mid-20s men such as myself - but there's no reason anything about them should be on here. Unless, U-G, you've gotten so lazy with your copy & pasting that you're not ripping off sites entirely without even checking for relevance.

So much hate on these guys, I just took the article as it is, funny because people are messed up. I'm personally not a huge One Direction fan, but for the genre they do, they do it really well! They're all actually decent singers, it's funny watching live videos because sometimes the band is... lip syncing? But with instruments? Air banding? I'm in no sense a fan of these guys, but I have more class than to hate them solely because they're a boy band... I mean, they'll have more money and women than a lot of us combined in our whole lives...
