After initially giving a strong hint at a joint tour, Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails have officially confirmed a co-headlining concert trek. Set to take place in Australia and New Zealand next March, the tour will stretch for over two weeks and take the show through eight cities. "The first headline band on stage will be decided each night by the toss of a coin, so ticket holders will want to make sure they are ready from the minute doors open," the official announcement reads. "The eight-date run is set to begin at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on 6 March, 2014 and continue on visiting Newcastle, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Christchurch." The announcement also confirmed Josh Homme's wife Brody Dalle as a special guest. The ticket presale will begin this Wednesday (October 16), check out the full itinerary below. Both bands are currently promoting their new studio efforts, since NIN released "Hesitation Marks" earlier last month via Columbia Records, while QOTSA's "...Like Clockwork" dropped in early June through Matador Records. This tour needs to come to North America!
Fuck north america! this is NZ and Aussies time!! We never get awesome tours like this!
made in America festival in Philly past labor day weekend...it was amazing
If they don't come to Northwest USA I'm going to kick both Trent and Josh in the nuts so hard they won't feel it.
I KNOW! When was the last time Queens had a show in the OR/WA area?
I saw them in Portland last year, actually. It was at the Roseland though, which is a pretty small venue for them.
bands like these come down to aus/nz every 2-5 years and americans still complain when a band doesn't play more than twice a year in their city and im like dude WTH you have an abundance of concerts to attend that i have to wait a couple of years for, be grateful
read this on the ticketing website: "With the first headline band on stage being decided each night by the toss of a coin, fans will want to make sure they’re at the ready for a big night from the minute doors open."
Fuck. Yes. If they come to anywhere between southern Oregon and Seattle I'm so there.
Honestly, QOTSA have been lacking energy they used to have the last few times I have seen them so I find it hard to get excited about this. Same with NiN. Think I would be most excited to see Brody Dalle to be honest - Distillers were brilliant
