Discussing the current state of affairs in his career and chances for rejoining Bon Jovi in 2014, guitarist Richie Sambora dropped an interesting hint - a potential Lady Gaga collaboration. Chatting with Hollywood Reporter, Sambora admitted that the time away from Bon Jovi sparked a great desire to get some playing and songwriting under way. It was at this point when Gaga's name popped up. "We may do some writing together," Richie said without getting into specific details. During the rest of the interview, the guitarist stressed the importance of setting his priorities straight, pointing out the need to dedicate more time to his family. "We were the hardest working band in the world, man," he said. "You're talking 24/7, and you don't get to come home. I missed so much of my child's life. And you get to that place where you realize, 'Oh, my god, this is really important.'" Switching to Bon Jovi, Sambora suggested at a possible return to the ranks of Jersey rockers. "Yes, I would think about it for sure," he said about the reunion idea. "There's no malice here. You get along for 30 years, that's a damn good marriage. I was coming out of something a little bit different with my solo record, 'Aftermath of the Lowdown,' and it just didn't go in the right direction for me artistically, which is not to say it's a bad thing." The guitarist then focused on the bigger picture, adding, "I did 14 cycles for 30 years, so I missed a lot," he explains. "A lot of life happened. And I also had three solo albums and tours, wrote songs for other people. Burnt isn't the right word, but I almost fell out of love with music and I needed to fall in love with it again." So do you think a Gaga/Sambora collab could work? Let us know in the comments.
