The "Dull Men's Club" (yes, you've read that right) has awarded popular British singer Rod Stewart with somewhat of a special title, naming him the "Dullest Man Of The Year".
The club cites Stewart's passion for model trains as the reason behind this recognition. Apparently, the singer is quite serious about this hobby and has a habit of renting out entire hotel rooms while on the road just to work on his trains. In his house on Beverly Hills, Stewart has a 1,500 square feet train layout which takes up most of the mansion's third floor with more than 100 buildings, some of which are over five feet tall. He was on the front cover of the "Model Railroader" magazine back in 2007, saying he is "proud to be a railway modeler".
"I'm proud to be a railway modeler. It means more to me to be on the cover of Model Railroader than to be on the cover of a music magazine."
"I pity a man who doesn't have a hobby like this one - it's just the most supreme relaxation. Every person should have one hobby that really captures his interest", the singer said.
But is Rod Stewart really that dull? After all, we're talking about the man who had once said he slept with so many women it became "sad" and "f--ing depressing". In his new memoir, the vocalist even admitted he used to take cocaine pills anally. Not that we're saying that anal coke pills are fun, but certainly 'dull' isn't a fitting description either.
So what do you think about this one? Is Rod Stewart dull or not? Post your thoughts in the comments section below.
