Despite sobering up and staying clean for over 20 years, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is still infamous for his heavy drug use to this very day. In a recent chat on Australian edition of "60 Minutes", the singer was asked to address the rumor claiming he had spent a total of $20 million on his bad habit.

Tyler went on to explain that the figure is by all means an exaggeration, but then again not too far from the truth.

"No, probably, realistically, 5 or 6, easy. But it doesn't matter. You also could say I snorted half of Peru, but, you know, it's what we did."

The frontman was also known for keeping cocaine in his trademark microphone scarves, saying he "needed it" pretty badly. After sobering up, Tyler has admitted the drugs have ruined him, "taking away his children and marriages".

As far as Aerosmith goes, the band has recently marked the 40th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, with the popular Toxic Twins, Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry receiving ASCAP Founders Award for their "exception contribution to music, inspiring and influencing their fellow music creators."

So that's a lot of coke he's talking about. Do you think he actually snorted that much of it or is the number he's given us once again an exaggeration? Post your thoughts in the comments section below.

That's something you should feel proud about..? Should have snorted that extra inch.
Something to be proud of!..... Didn't he say something similar in the movie " The Decline of Western Civilization: The Metal Years."
At current average street price thats like 140 pounds of blow. Pretty impressive if ya ask me.
Too bad no one cut his shit up with bleach and rat poison. Pathetic loser. Kids are dying of hunger and this old transvestite brags about much blow he did. Go fall in a grave, dick lips.
    Way Cool JR.
What about all the filthy rich people that just blow 500k on a watch or 2million just on a car or a million dollars on a fricken necklace. Should they all go fall in a grave to? Do you know how many people they could feed with that money? That shit to me is way worse than someone that fell victim to a highly addictive drug like cocaine. Steven is not bragging about it, he is simply making a statement. I'm sure he regrets doing all that coke. I hate to say it but if he didn't do all that then he would of been a completely different person and Aerosmith may of never been as great as they were/are. So just keep your stupid childish comments to yourself dude.
I've never liked Aerosmith or this *****, and this article just gives me more reason not to. Thanks, UG.
