The first photo of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins playing Iggy Pop in a forthcoming "CBGB" movie has surfaced online.

Hawkins and a range of other famous names will appear as their punk heroes in the movie after shooting it last year with director Randall Miller.

The movie will track the history of the legendary New York punk venue which launched the careers of the Ramones, Blondie, Patti Smith and others who went on to influence the rock and pop worlds.

Other key figures from the CBGBs scene like club owner Hily Kristal, to be played by Alan Rickman who played Snape in the "Harry Potter" movies, will also be portrayed to tell the whole story of how their exciting sub-scuture spilled out into the wider world.

No official release date has been set for the movie, but it's expected to appear in theaters this year.

    That's....pretty convincing actually
I agree. As convincing as Mel Gibson playing that Scottish dude in Braveheart. Even if they said it wasn't convincing at the time, look at him now; an alcoholic racist.
He's got to the body to play Iggy after being a heroine addict just like Iggy. He just looks like a younger Iggy which he is suppose to be. Can't wait to see this.
