I like to play alternative rock, soft rock, blues, a little Folk. I am mainly a strummer but also love finger picking and this guitar does it all. I have big hands so the wide Fret board suits me better especially when finger picking. This guitar is the best guitar I have ever played hands down. I have played a Taylor 710ce, Martin D-35, and some nice Breedloves. This Guitar sounds like a mix b/w the D-35 and 710ce. It has very good tonal clarity, warmth, and projects like it is plugged into an amp. The harmonics are very nice with beautiful overtones. The LR Baggs electronics make this guitar sound even better when plugged in.

If you are looking for an awesome sounding guitar that is handmade this is it!!! You will not find a Spruce/Rosewood with wonderful electronics in this price range that even compares to the tone you will receive from this guitar unless your willing to fork out 3k+.

Reliability & Durability — 10
This guitar is made to last, The artist series guitars have 8 coats of lacquer for ultimate protection but is high glossed with every layer so it doesn't affect the sound. This guitar can withstand a beating and the electronics are also made to last. You do have to get a strap button installed if you'd like which I did. This guitar is made of nothing but Top Quality materials and the top, back, and sides are all Pressure Tested before they are approved to go into a guitar.

Action, Fit & Finish — 10
From the factory this guitar was set-up flawlessly. The action was almost perfect and the fit and finish was just the way a handmade instrument should be, perfect. It has a beautiful Rosette with an abalone picture of a Seagull on the 12th Fret. The tuner knobs have a pearl like look with beautiful gold tuners. The headstock is rosewood with an abalone Seagull display and the word "Artist" across it. Abalone is tastefully placed on the pins, inlay, and headstock. You can tell this guitar was made with care.

This is a handmade canadian guitar that I ordered in September of 2007. It took them around 2 months to make it due to the lacquer process which they do in stages. It has a Select Pressure Tested Solid Spruce Top with very tight grain and Solid Indian Rosewood Back/Sides. 24.85" scale length, 16" fingerboard radius and 15:1 ratio Seagull tuners. Rosewood fingerboard & bridge, Tusq nut and compensated saddle, and mahogany neck. It has a high-gloss lacquer finish which is flawless. Mine has the LR baggs I beam-duet pickup system which puts the icing on the cake. The system is a combination of the I-beam system and

"The system is a combination of the I-beam system and..." Nooooo, now I'll never know what the combination is!!!! Haha, I love these guitars - I used to sell them at the store I worked at, and they were always the most consistent, and best sounding for the money. Totally recommended for a player of any level.

I dont know what happened lol The iBeam Duet blends the iBeam and Ribbon Transducer signals with an onboard preamp featuring a very sophisticated set of controls for mixing and equalization

Seagulls are some of the nicest guitars. They age very well. I love my S6.

I liked the review However I need to know the neck shape C,D or V It never seems to occur to anyone that the neck shape is without a doubt the most important part of a Guitar
