Ease of Use — 9
All knobs are organized in squares which say which knob is for what, and if you cant figure it out you can go to the manual, it is clearly explained there. The problem starts when you reach the delay options, there are lots of rules like, hold it 2 second for that or 1 second for that other thing and it can turn to be confusing. Also the memory mode thing can be difficult to use. Changing between the effects is easy but creating new ones is not that easy, you will need to use the manual. As it is an analogic multi-effects pedal it has no way to update is by software, what you get the first day is what you will get every day.

Sound — 8
When I used it with my Yamaha ERB070, it improves a lot its sound, specially using D-Comp (compressor), but using it with an Ibanez BTB470 it doesn't improve the clean sound at all. For the specific effects, it works flawlessly. You can adjust every effect to suit your needs in every situation. The loop recorder is useless as it only records 3 seconds, and the wah pedal is so unsensible, (more about it in Overall impressions). The compressors are difficult to appreciate with a decent bass guitar, so don't buy it for that purpose.

Reliability & Durability — 9
After a few years it seem to keep in perfect state, and probably its metalic build contributes to it. It still has no scratches. All the knobs and switches still work like the first day. The only thing I don't like about the buid quality is the hardness of the pedal. To change from volume pedal to expression pedal you have to press it to end very hardly, and it seems it will break, another way to change that would be much more comfortable. Another thing that could be improved is the feedback of the 3 small pedals, as there is no clear click or anything.

Overall Impression — 9
I mainly play rock and metal, and I haven't had the opportunity to use it a lot (I don't like distortion effects). If it was stolen or lost I wouldn't buy a new one but just because I don't use it that much, but if you used it I guess you would buy a new one. A very cool feature about it is the possibility to work with batteries, which is very useful when you have to move around, but they don't last long, so you should buy an adapter. The worst things about it are the wah effect on the expression pedal, (it only changes in the first half of the movement, after that it stays the same for the rest of the pedal movement) and the loop recorder, which only records very very short loop which are useless.
