I wouldn't recommend it to any professional, but It's a wonderful instrument for beginners and intermediate players.

This bass seems to fit me very well for my range of styles which include punk, reggae and Indie.
This works ok for playing clean but is not good for distortion really.
I also own a Fender Rumble 15 amp and a Zoom B2.1U effects pedal and the sound is stunning.
I also have a Greg Bennett 5-string, and it doesn't even compare to this machine.

The bass is small and light, very playable, I have no problems or complants about it.
The Phat Boost knob adds a lot of depth to the sound, making for a lot of customization.
