What can you say... Great sound from funk to punk, pull of the back plate and there are dip switches to change the frequency response, so if you like mainly deep down bass then change the dip switches and it gives you more depth. I use it at factory settings and it is fine for me. Loads of punch, the neck is a joy to play and straight with nice fret dressing. This bass is quiet when amp'd with no radio interference noticed in 3 years of live playing, no hiss, no crackles.

Overall Impression — 9
I play 70's rock and blues in 2 bands and gig weekly around pubs and clubs, I use this bass exclusively, through an Ashdown combo and a Boss pedalboard. Played for 30 years now on and off, tried and owned many basses but this is a keeper. Also look out for the Schecter C-4 Hellraiser if you like this one. This Bass always turns heads and looks cool in live photos.

Reliability & Durability — 8
Have gig'd this bass for 3 years and my only issue is the battery has gone flat on me at a few gigs, but I just change it out in a few mins. and all is back working. I would like to see a quick open battery compartment as you should not need to carry a philips screwdriver to gigs just to change the battery. I have had to change two of the pots, one volume and one tone pot since owning this bass, and have fitted strap locks but all in all a well built guitar with a solid feel to it's construction and a good weight.

Action, Fit & Finish — 8
When this arrived the action was fine but I got it pro setup anyway. Intonation was out a little and the strings were a little low for my style. Never had an issue with the bridge or tuners. Fits in most jazz type hard cases. Finish is great, modern gloss black, easy to clean with matt grey bright work. Stripper inlays well worked in with no gaps, nice bit of rosewood on mine.

I saw a mention of the dip switches for the C-4 xxx What is the setup to get the deeper sound? Thanks
