Overall Impression — 8
This is a good weapon for any bassist to have in his arsenal, regardless of skill or style. The only bass that really compairs is corts widely used Action V, it may be better in many respects but considering the Cort is more expensive the 5K is probably the one to go for.

Reliability & Durability — 10
This bass is completely solid, it's with stood a week of me moshing around like a maniac already and endured a couple of accidents without a scratch on it. I have complete confidence in this thing, I would go on stage without a back up any, you can be as rough as you want and it wont cut out on you or anything like that.

Action, Fit & Finish — 8
It comes perfectly set up from the factory, I can't see any reason to go changing anything. Even the strings which are often a let down with basses from this end of the market are more than good enough. The only thing I can realy complain about is that the candy blue paint has been spilled slightly from the body onto the neck, but this isn't really noticable.

Features — 8
This is the five string version of the 4K. It features mahogany fret board with 24 frets, 2 volumes controls for selecting the individual pick-ups, chrome non-locking machine heads and bridge (painted black) and active pick ups from EMC electronics. Mine is in a dark blue finish which alows you to see the grain of the wood.
