Sound: 311 is a very talented and amazing band. They combine sounds of rap-rock, funk-rock, and reggea and do it good too. Their bassist P-nut, can really lay down a groove and can slap like a beast. Tim Mahoney, Their guitarist, is really talented, and can throw down an awesome solo. Their drummer really makes the songs awesome. His Beats make the song, and he even has a drum solo in the song Applied Science. This album really shows the talent of all the members in 311. P-nut has some really cool slap basslines, and has an amazing bass solo in the song nutsymtom. Tim Mahoney has some really cool guitar riffs in songs like homebrew, Salsa, and Grassroots, and can has a really clean sounding solos in songs like nutymtom and grassroots. Chad Sexton, the drummer, has really amazing beats. His solo in Applied Science really shows his talent as a drummer. // 10

Lyrics: 311 has two singers. Nick Hexum who sings in a sort of rap like way, and their rapper SA. Their songs really have a peacefull meaning to them, and in some songs are about weed which is cool in my opinion. The structure the lyrics are are sort of like something you would see if you read rap lyrics, although 311 does them much better and "raps" about life and not booty. Both singers are very talented. SA has a pretty high voice and raps pretty damn fast, but his vocals are really good. Nick is the one who really sings. His singing abilitie is really good, and the lyrics he write are really good and poetic like. // 10

Overall Impression: This is a must have album for any 311 fan, and I would defiantly recommend this to someone who is just getting into 311. Songs that are most impressive are homebrew, nutsymtom, 8:16 A.M, Omaha stylee, Applied Science, Grassroots, and Salsa. They really made this album really good and it really show the talent of everyone in the band. I love how 311 combines so much styles into their songs. There is really nothing to hate about this album and 311 in general. Go out and buy this album, you will not be dissappointed with it. // 10
