A Change of Pace: An Offer You Can't Refuse

Sound — 8
A Change Of Pace is a newcomer to the world of screamo music, and they have gotten off to a very good start. On "An Offer You Can't Refuse," ACOP mixes emo with a metal and post-hardcore edge to come up with a product all their own.

The lyrics are generally above what you see in most mainstream emo music, but are firmly rooted in what most people would call emo. They fit well within the music, and the screaming is placed perfectly in their songs. Torry Jasper, the band's lead singer, has an amazing range, going from great highs, to a B below low C! A very good singer overall.

Overall Impression — 9
For screamo, this may be one of the best albums I own. The most impressive songs would have to be "Loose Lips Sink Ships," "Asleep At The Wheel," and "Know One Knows." I love their use and placement of screams, as well as their melodic metal guitar lines. If lost, I would buy another copy. It's a very good album.
