There's hardly a less-than-thrilling track anywhere on this album. Here's hoping they don't feel the need to "mature" any time soon.

Sound: A Change Of Pace is a relatively small band that not many people have heard of. Despite this, they are very talented and have some very good songs on their premier CD, 'An Offer You Can't Refuse'. A Change Of Pace plays harder music than most emo bands, but this style works for them. They have put together some very good songs including 'Loose Lips Sink Ships', 'Death Do Us Part' and 'Know One Knows'. This band screams a lot but limits their screaming so that it compliments their singing. I find that the sign to scream ratio is quite spandiferous. // 9

Lyrics: Once again, this band has both a screaming and singing aspect to their music. The lead singer has a nice voice. It is a little than most males voices, but sounds good in the songs he sings. The screaming compliments this as it is much lower than the singing, thus giving the listener a high and low range to hear and giving as a full spectrum of sound to be satisfied with. The lyrics could be more deep than they are, but the way the songs are sung makes up for this short-fall. However, some more creativity would be appreciated. // 7

Overall Impression: Although this band is not heard of yet, they are likely to make an impression in the music scene in the near future. They are very talented and have a good sound to them. They are relatively new and need another year or two to get their name out there and game some popularity. This CD has many good songs aon it and has good replayability. It is definitely worth adding to your collection. A Change of Pace is a name to remember in the future as they should be making the headlines soon! // 9

Sound: A Change Of Pace is a newcomer to the world of screamo music, and they have gotten off to a very good start. On "An Offer You Can't Refuse," ACOP mixes emo with a metal and post-hardcore edge to come up with a product all their own. // 8

Lyrics: The lyrics are generally above what you see in most mainstream emo music, but are firmly rooted in what most people would call emo. They fit well within the music, and the screaming is placed perfectly in their songs. Torry Jasper, the band's lead singer, has an amazing range, going from great highs, to a B below low C! A very good singer overall. // 9

Overall Impression: For screamo, this may be one of the best albums I own. The most impressive songs would have to be "Loose Lips Sink Ships," "Asleep At The Wheel," and "Know One Knows." I love their use and placement of screams, as well as their melodic metal guitar lines. If lost, I would buy another copy. It's a very good album. // 9
