A Perfect Circle: Lost In The Bermuda Triangle [DVD]
Released: May 4, 2004
It's an entertaining look at an independent, off-color series, and it takes some sharp social commentary as well.

Sound: The product has generally been no less artistic or intriguing. An admitted Bikini Bandits fanatic, Maynard James Keenan somehow convinced theirest of theibandito commission underground filmmaker Steven Grasseito makeia new Bikini Bandits episodeias theimusic videoifor their hit song "The Outsider." Grasse then collaborated with music video veteran Mark Kohrito make sure it didn't completely suck. However, theioriginal, long form, uncensored version remainsia masterpiece of retardation. // 6

Overall Impression: Some will doubtless find the disc crass, offensive for its own sake with little outside redeeming value. Others will probably think it hilarious, enjoying the offense because it's comprised of breasts, innuendoes and profanities. In truth, it's partly just a question of how much stomach you have for these sorts of things, but the DVD is neither terrible nor terribly impressive. It's an entertaining look at an independent, off-color series, and it takes some sharp social commentary as well, but it's a bit off the mark as far as APC's creative and artistic reputation. // 6
