For fans of Technical Death Metal bands such as Necrophagist and Obscura all the way to the new age metal sounds of The Faceless, After The Burial, and Born Of Osiris. These 5 guys will deliver nothing short of an atmospherically dark and heavy sound, taking influence from all the latter bands. Once you hear this record you will immediately notice the strong aspects of not only Technical Death Metal but a slight-core influence with neo classical shred style lead guitar work. The only weak side is that sometimes the instruments are blazing all at once and you lose focus, it sounds kind of unorganized but nevertheless they always fall back into place.

The lyrics relate alot to the vocalist, Ray Jimenez's point of view on Religion, and life. He alternates between very death metal lows with the occasional pig squeal as well as very high almost black metal style shrieks. All in all the best vocals I've heard on any band in a very long time.
Overall Impression — 9
Like previously stated they have a strong hold on technical Death Metal aswell as Very heavy death "core". Their use of A standard tuned 7 string guitars gives them a spine splitting tone and agression matched by very few bands. The most impressive songs on the album in my opinion are "The Graze Of Locusts", "The Singe", and "Conquest Of Gliese". But all the songs are worth a listen! If you love technical, heavy, and shredtastic bands. Abiotic will NOT disappoint.
