AC/DC: Blow Up Your Video

Sound — 10
At first hearing of this album, it sounds like any other AC/DC album, which is absolutely fine. Pure driving rhythms, Angus' fantastic guitar work and Brian's growling vocals are what makes this album as great as it is. "Heatseeker," "That's The Way I Wanna Rock And Roll," "Nick Of Time" and "Two's Up" are my favourite, but that certainly isn't to say the rest of the album isn't worth listening to.

Lyrics — 10
The lyrics are pretty standard AC/DC. having fights, having fun and having sex are the main lyrical themes, and they suit the music just fine. Brian Johnson has a decent voice for this kind of music. Don't expect him to burst into opera any time soon, but for sheer rocking out he's certainly a talented lad.

Overall Impression — 10
Comparing this album to other AC/DC albums is quite a hard task, considering how good they all are. It is one of their less-known ones, which is not to say it is one of their worst ones. If you just need an album with speed and pure power, then Blow Up Your Video is certainly one to go for.

one of the best albums by FAR!! way better than back in black or razor's edge. this is pure rock. the riffs are very catchy and fun. lyrics match with the riffs so good its awesome. flick of the switch is better than B.I.B.

i actually think this is AC/DC's worst album...it just doesn't do it for me...it is nowhere near as good as Back in Black or Razor's Edge. Are you people insane?!!!

Blow Up Your Video turned out to be their most successful album since 1981's For Those About To Rock, even though it was chock full of filler. wow i thought the album was great i love every song. two's up is the best song on the album

yes back in black is so much better, but the razor's edge as an album cannot compare. the first 5 tracks of TRE are excellent, but as an overall album its lacking. and thats wahat ac/dc actually try to make. a good album not a few good songs per album and then filler. thats why this is so much better thean TRE
