AFI: Sing the Sorrow

Sound — 10
Well I heard about A.F.I. after they supported the Offspring a couple of years ago here in the UK. After hearin two of their songs, Totalimmirtal and Girls Not Grey, and loving both I decided to buy this album. It opens with a drum intro similar to that in the Terminator theme tune... and the vocals that followed in this beginning song were incredible. Davey Havoks voice really stands out during the whole of this album, and despite screaming at some points, which isn't particularly used often in Punk, it really fits well.

With well written and poetic songs such as 'The Celluloid Dream', combined with the effective guitar work of Jade Pugent this album is full of top quality tracks.

Overall Impression — 10
I believe it will appeal to fans of metal and punk, and A.F.I fans will certainly not be disappointed.
