AFI: Sing the Sorrow

Sound — 8
Jade Puget has great guitar tone, and AFI uses more time signature changes than ever, this is a creative album but its a far cry from the hardcore punk that AFI are known for.

Lyrics — 6
After Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes, nine out of ten of AFI's songs stopped making sense, as far as singing goes Davey Havok's vocals sound good and go well with the songs.

Overall Impression — 6
Jade Puget is an incredible guitarist, however when he joined the band and they released The Art Of Drowning the music really started to change. This record has a few good songs but it is by far the band's worst album, all the original AFI fans will agree with me, the newer AFI fans would probably not enjoy AFI when they were still a punk band.
