Alice in Chains: Dirt

Sound — 10
The Sound of this record is timeless, Jerry Cantrell's guitar playing is second to none with kick ass solo's and great melody. Layne Staley has to be one of the most underated singers of our time, it's so sad that the generation of today has no clue who Alice in Chains are, when they have inspired probably 80 percent of todays music. Greatest harmony of all time Layne and Jerry.

Lyrics are Dark and Depressing and you can just tell they are from the fucking heart. Layne and Jerry seem to pull from deep within and share there own personal hell with everyone. The torment of drug addiction and loneliness, with no happy ending in sight.

Overall Impression — 10
This is one of the greatest rock albums of the 90's and my personal favorite. I have bought this album for friends just because it is that fucking good and they have thanked me numberous times. If you don't have it...fucking get it. RIP Layne.
