Alice in Chains: Dirt

Sound — 10
The sound is so unique and fantasic. Dirt is one of those few albums that comes along and amazes you. Jerry Cantrell is an amazing guitarist mixing excellent solos with sweet, catchy riffs. Layne Staley is truly amazing. The other two band members, Michael Starr and Sean Kinney, are also perfect.

Lyrics — 10
These are probably some of the most emotional lyrics I've heard, from any band. Due to Staley's beginning heroin addiction before the recording of Dirt, most of the songs are about drugs. These lyrics are real, not like all of these poser bands we have today.

Overall Impression — 10
I highly recommend this album to anyone. There is nothing to hate about this album, ALL of the songs are great. Its a shame that we can no longer hear AIC's music, especially Layne Staley (RIP). Think of it this way, Layne Staley sacrificed himself to give us a fanastic album like Dirt. If you don't have this album, get up right now and go buy it, your really missing out on some truly fantastic music.
