Alice in Chains: Jar of Flies

Sound — 10
Layne Staley's strong vocals, combined with Jerry Cantrell's soft and depressing riffs help make this CD what it is. This album continues off what Dirt didn't have. It shows another type of music Alice In Chains can dish out.

Lyrics — 10
The lyrics on this album are some of the strongest I've ever heard. Songs such as Nutshell and Don't Follow show what the band can do lyrically. The instrumentals go well with the vocals. Mike Inez, Jerry Cantrell, and Sean Kinney play some of the most deppressing instrumentals I've heard.

Overall Impression — 10
I recommend this album to any grunge fan or anyone who is into alternative rock. It is worth the money, even though it only contains seven tracks.
