Animosity: Shut It Down

Sound — 10
Animosity brings everything good to their style of hardcore influenced death metal. They have many blast beats and breakdowns to keep all of th kids happy, very intricate impressive guitar work and drum work as well. the vocals are very good for this style, and if you were to see the singer you'd think he belonged in an old Beastie Boys video. This CD is definitly worth getting.

The lyrics are very anti-political and are written very well, so the vocalist really sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Very good lyrics indeed though. The vocals are in the death metal growls and screams catagory and this guy can put out some of the best death vocals that ever may be recorded.

Overall Impression — 10
This album completely pwns all other bands in this genre, every song is good and they really keep you pumped up. I love the guitar work on this CD really it is very good and the drums accent it all very well. They throw out some of the most aggressive and brutal breakdowns of all the bay area bands (San Franny). If I were to lose or if it were stolen, there would be no hesitation in my mind to go out and buy this CD, it it very well worth it and every fan of the genre should have this CD in their collection.

oh yeah... they recorded this CD back when they were all 14-15 haha.
i only have 4 songs from this album but the drum fill after the breakdown on grey skies is probably the coolest thing ever!
Animosity freakin owns. Glad they moved away from breakdowns...too many copykats out there
An amazing band indeed....if people think black tide is amazing(only on the account of that the band is all teenagers) Animosity pwns them with way better music.
