Anti-Flag: For Blood and Empire

Sound — 10
This had the newer Anti-Flag sound, a lot like The Terror State. Each song has great political meanings and they all even have little essays under the lyrics in the cd booklet. Well on the top of this it said the band was over 10 years old and as that is true theyre technicaly 20 years old. They started in 1986, took a 3 year break and have been really working at it since 1989.

The lyrics go GREAT with the music. Their albums just keep getting better and better.

Overall Impression — 10
As I said earlier this is one of their best albums to date, which is saying a lot because all of the albums are great, personaly I have 8 of there CDs and a live DVD, this tops it all. It some one even tried to touch this CD I'd kill them this is perhaps my all time favorite CD.

This album owns big time. How can they keep finding these lyrics. Great band. Gonna see them on Groezrock in Belgium.

Hey, for everyone that says Anti-Flag are a bunch of sell-out bitches. Pick up the latest Alternative Press Magazine at your local bookstore. It has like a five page story on why they made this album and why they went to a bigger label. For Blood and Empire isen't were they sell out worse than the C lah cira Combat Rock. This here bad called Anti=Flag is one of the most devoted bands to the goverment today. It's called " Political Punk"

I pretty much love this cd! Ive only head this and Terror State, but they both rock. And seeing as I work in a punk music store I will be adding to my collection very shortly! Anti-flag and NOFX F*ckin Rock

ya most the songs u guys have listed hav been my favorites on the cd but u some of u do have a point of how it isnt their old sound and some of the tracks seem to fall on the emo side... i noticed that in the 2nd track(its really late and i cant remember the name)in the chorus and in a few verse lines of other songs but i still really love this cd

yeah i tabbed that song too but when i went to put it on the site it said that they were too similar. Don't mean to knitpick ur tab but you are missin some stuff.

Yeah this cd is amazing BUT i don't think it's as good as Underground Network or A New Kind of Army or any of their other cds.. but don't get me wrong, they have some of the best songs i've ever heard on here. And btw, their recent tour was absolutely amazing. The Unseen and Anti-flag are two of the best live bands u'll ever see

I liked the cd, but i dont like the fact that they signed to a major label, I dont think that they sold out or anything, but I dont think that their music has changed that much. I think that underground network was a better album though.

they made their new album before they even sighned with RCA records, n RCA gave em full control over their music, its style, the lyrics, thier tours, who they tour with, when they tour, where they go, their album covers, the lot so its pretty much the same as them bieng with a smaller label exept this way they will get thier message out to more people
