Audioslave: Audioslave

Sound — 9
The first album of an unbelievable band. A band with influences of Soundgarden and a punch from Rage Against The Machine. The album has alot to offer. With a unique rock/hard rock or rather an audioslave genre, this album has revived the fallen glory of rock. The track Like A Stone has possibly the simplest tunes with insane effects making it what it is perfect. The album is great on all grounds, if you want to know what would be a perfect rock album to start off with this is a must have.

Brilliant lyrics, the lyrics of like a stone are the best lyrics I've heard out of the modern bands. Great, absolutely simple music perfected by a voice of class. Tom Morello's solos aren't as great as his ones in rage against the machine but great effects. The ex soundgarden singer has done a decent job, his voice blends with the music. The lyrics are the reason one should buy this album.

Overall Impression — 9
This is a good album on the whole the best track in this album is Like A Stone. Apart from that Cohise, Show Me How To Live and Shadow On The Sun are pretty good. The rest of the album is quite ordinary. This is a fanatastic album and a must buy for rock lovers. I'd say it isn't the greatest album but better than have the junk produced nowdays.
