Avenged Sevenfold: City of Evil

Sound — 10
Wow, Avenged Sevenfold really broke out of the "hardcore" genre with this CD. Amazing guitar playing, and Avenged Sevenfold seemed to have gone back to the roots of metal music. It sounds amazingly simiiliar to Guns N Roses and Iron Maiden. Avenged Sevenfold has a unique sound and they are bringing real rock and roll back.

M. Shadows shows everyone that he dosent give a fuck what anyone thinks. His voice is more trained and it really pays off. I really like how the band isnt hiding the fact that they drink, do drugs and like girls, I mean I'm sure all the bands at warped tour do but avenged sevenfold is the only band that prooves that they really dont give a shit. I love that attitude man.

Overall Impression — 10
City Of Evil compares to Appiteite For Destruction I think. I love Guns N' Roses and Avenged Sevenfold is following right in their footsteps. Every single song on the album is my favorite, there's not one that I even mildy dislike or anything, it's a classic.
