Avenged Sevenfold: City of Evil

Sound — 10
The sound on this album I think is incredible. They really sort of changed it up a little bit. It sounds more classical and at the same still way heavy metal. And who can forget all the new 2 guitar harmonizing solos? Those are insanely awesome. Like on Bat country and burn it down and the wicked end. Absolutley amazing. And the insane-o arpeggiatic part in the "Wicked End" solo? That's some of the best I've heard besides like Yngwie Malmsteen.

The lyrics, well hmm, I can't really understand what he's saying, but I really like how the singer sounds. He has a good range, and he still has that distortion to it. I really like vocal "solo" on "Burn It Down." The lyrics though, I dont really get but whatever the singer is awesome.

Overall Impression — 10
Overall, I think that this is their best album so far. I know some will dissagree, but this is an awesome album, and its the most "advanced" album they've done. They're all very very talented musicians. Way to go Avenged Sevenfold.
