Avenged Sevenfold: Waking the Fallen

Sound — 10
This album is f--cking unbelieveable. From the opening chords of "Waking The Fallen" to the scorching riffs of "Unholy Confessions" and right on down to the best song on the CD, "I Won't See You Tonight Part I", this albums is musically one of, if not the, best album ever produced by a new-age metal group.

Lyrics — 10
M. Shadows, the lead singer, has the most incredible vocal talent I have ever heard in a metal, and for once its a pleasure to be able to understand what he is singing most of the time. The lyrics tie in with the music perfectly, especially the haunting riffs of "I Won't See You Tonight Part I."

Overall Impression — 10
This album blows away anything else out there in the metal world right now, shows slayer and slipknot to be what they really are, marginally talented cretonic sreamers with persecution complexes. I've already stated the best songs from the album. There is nothing to hate about this album, cept that its not long enough. If it was stolen I would burn the motherf--uckers alive that took it.
