Beastie Boys: To The 5 Boroughs

Sound — 10
The Beastie Boys make a strong comeback with this album devoted to the city of New York. This album differs somewhat from thier previous effort, 'Hello Nasty'. It features rawer hiphop with meatier concepts that are less typical of the Beasties. The old school classics are also present however take a listen to 'Triple Trouble'.

The best attribute of the Beastie Boys is their ability to rhyme. This album makes it hard to think of their early hardcore roots. They have so much more skill as emcees, especially in tracks like 'It Takes Time To Build' and 'Ch-Check It Out'.

Overall Impression — 10
This is an excellent sample of the Beastie Boys skills and rhyme and rhythm. Another white hiphop success story.
