Breaking Benjamin: We Are Not Alone

Sound — 10
The music is loud, the guitar riffs are all hard and catchy and Ben Burnley's vocals are bloody awesome. He has a powerful voice, and in the opening track, So Cold, he really shows this. It could have used more guitar solos, with So Cold being the only track that includes one.

The lyrics are like most songs these days: quite meaningless once you actually probe the storyline. But every song on this album has a great feel to it, with Ben Burnley giving them that edge. One of the softer tracks on the album, Forget It, was co-written by Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins). The lyrics are powerful, accompanied by great vocals.

Overall Impression — 10
Breaking Benjamin are probably my favourite band at the moment, and I discovered them while watchin music videos on http://launch.yahoo.com. Every song on this album is a potential hit, and none of the songs sound the same. There are soft and haevy tracks on the album, which gives them quite a diverse feel. If I lost this album, I'd go out and buy it again that day.
