Bullet for My Valentine: Road To Nowhere

Sound — 9
Well I'll be totally honest, people will argue that their sound hasn't changed much for this EP and I would agree but it has improved especially with the song structures. Some very nice guitar riffs and heartfelt lyrics. But I do just love this band although people argue they steal their sound from trivium and metallica I would have to totally disagree I believe bullet for my valentine are totally unique being that they are "metalcore" and not "thrash".

Lyrically I think this EP is very good most of the lyrics are quite aggresive and destructive but this time Tuck pulls it off a lot better than scream aim fire. Very heartfelt stuff. And as for it's voice I would say it is totally amazing, thank god it's back. Much more to come hopefully.

Overall Impression — 9
Well I like this EP a lot due to the variety it shows in the bands sound. 01.Ashes Of The Innocent: a very up-beat metalhead song with a rather melodic sweet chorus and another lovely kick ass BFMV guitar solo. Great song 8.5/10 02.One Good Reason Why: a quite generic guitar riff but the lyrics are quite catchy and there is some nice drumming work still a very decent song and one of my favourites. 9/10 03.Road To Nowhere: the unique song on the Album, A lovely acoustic start with very powerful lyrics and then a very nice metalled up anthem style ending. 10/10 04.Watching Us Die Tonight: probably my least favourite song on the Album, but still a very decent song a nice variety in vocal styles, shows a "toned down" yet still rather heavy BFMV. 8/10

All of those songs are pretty badass!! Especially Road To Nowhere. I like how it goes from acoustic into great metal. BFMV is my favorite band i just heard this songs right now.
I agree with it all mate. I think its a great EP and I think Scream, Aim, Fire was a great album too, and of course people are going to say its not so good because The Poison was a f***ing mint album, almost perfect so it would be an amazing effort to match or beat that. But Scream, Aim, Fire is still a quality album!!! Oh yeah and just to say, Road To Nowhere = f***ing amazing!!!! BFMV are Sick!!!
wow I thought alot of people would agree with me of ashes of the innocent being the best track but I guess that I'm wrong.. I thought everyone was complaining about the lack of screaming and heavy guitars?
uhm road to nowhere is a bonus track on scream aim fire so its not really an ep btw
no, it's a whole EP, or it comes as 4 bonus songs on the scream aim fire deluxe edition , but either way, it's awesome n i love all 4 songs on there, all the songs on there really grow on you
those 4 songs should have been on the album, it would have made it better, i downloaded the whole EP just now, cause its ****ing epic.
ashes of the innocent along with waking the demon are the 2 heavest songs bullet have to offer after the epic "the poison" album
