Sound — 10
The sound is very good, nice crunchy guitar that isn't too hard to play. There is a lot of moving chords and riffs that make this album very seductive. The sound isn't the same stuff over and over, it has 2 or 3 songs that are simulair but in general it has a variety of musical components. Great!

Lyrics — 10
The lyrics are great on this album, truly great. The music and lyrics go together very well and nothing really seems out of place. 1 or 2 songs have a little toss to the lyrics and music. For the majority it is a very good lyrical album, very deep stuff and very good. Gavin Rossdale's voice would be velvet if I could describe it. Very sexy and very easing to listen to.

Overall Impression — 10
This album blew up and sold 7 million copies in the US. It had 5 singles and 3 of the 5 singles made the top 40: Everything Zen, Glycerine, Comedown. I think everyone should buy this album it is one of a kind!
