Sound: Candlemass is one of the first doom bands with outstanding sound; great guitar and great vocals. The differnt moods and tempos are not to be put aside. The sound on this album is great. The sound of the guitars go well with the vocals of Massiah Marcolin. This was their second CD, it was realeased in 1987. // 10

Lyrics: Oh man! The lyrics. The lyrics are mostly written by the bassist Leif, and sung to perfection with Messiah. The tales of doom written about in the lyrics go so well with the apocaliptic riffs. Messiah the vocalist has a voice like no other. // 10

Overall Impression: This album can't be compared to any other albums becuase it is so great. Candlemass a great band is under-rated and should be more listened to! But anyways some of the most impressive songs were "At The Gallows End" and "Bewitched." If this CD was stolen oh man I would like kill myself. But I would seriously buy this one again and again. A great classic. Candlemass is the doom-metal band that has the melodies and vocals to bring you to the edge of your seat. Listen to just one song and you'll be beging for more! // 10
