They pretty much make it all worthwhile, even when the drums are confusing and the lyrics are annoying.

Sound: It's clear as day this band is post hardcore. However, it deviates from the formula just a bit by incorporating small riffs here and there. And the signature of Comeback Kid's music is its ferocity and energy. There is rarely any parts that are slow or even mid-tempo. They're fast paced and filled with energy. // 10

Lyrics: The lyrics are all quite comprehensible and quite coherent to 1 subject. They are a bit simple, but good nonetheless. A little more sophisticated and complex that traditional hardcore, but not as emotional or heartfelt as emo. They have songs that are about some personal matters, although, they don't make them so emotional it's emo. // 10

Overall Impression: This CD is a great successor to their debut album "Turn It All Around." With it's fast paced songs and the fact they nail the post hardcore sound, it deserves them a perfect rating. Although, the 1 downside to this CD is that it's quite short. Only 25 minutes, in fact. // 10

Sound: This band is faced-pace and intense hardcore at its absolute best. These guys make terrific use of their two guitarists with almost all of the guitar parts being two at once and rarely just one big riff; not that it doesn't stay heavy though. And of course its all topped of with arrangements that keep you up. // 10

Lyrics: The lyrics are heart-felt, aggressive and suit the music perfectly. As a matter of fact, in the song "Talk Is Cheap" you can find some great lyrics 'Your debts escalating/Whisper no regrets' and some not so good ones 'you're the sucker' but they are both sung or screamed with so much intensity and feeling that you can't help but enjoy it. // 10

Overall Impression: Since I haven't heard the first album, I couldn't tell you that this is better or worse. This CD is filled with great tunes ("False Idols Fall," "Wake The Dead," "Talk Is Cheap" and "The Trouble I Love" are the highlights) and each one filled with spectacular guitars, drums, bass and vocals. If this was stolen I would buy another two and keep one in a safe place so it wouldn't get stolen. That's what I can tell you. // 10
