Despite a work rate that might burn out a lesser group, the Coral show no signs of going away anytime soon and if they can keep making records this good, lovers of tuneful and intelligent pop music should be very glad.

Sound: This album is the most mature of all the Coral albums. This probebly being because it is the most recent. Definetly an improvement from the messy Nightfreak and the Sons of Becker. The album has a very depressed feel to it, not all the songs are depressing, but a large majority certanly probebly weren't written when the Coral were on their holdiay to Disney Land. This not being a bad thing however. The Invisible Invasion still holds the Coral's unique '60s pop sound, but being rehearsed in the Lake District it has a very airy aspect to it. // 9

Lyrics: The lyrics are a bit weird, not a bad thing. Can be quite sad and depressing. But they fit well with the music and are very catchy. James sings it all evry well. He doesn't exactly strain his voice, (which is sad) but what he does have to do he pulls off with ease. // 8

Overall Impression: It's a great album. Probebly second to best (Magic And Medicine coming first) there are no let downs on the album, all the songs are brillaint quality. The recording quality is amzing also. The best song is Something Inside Of Me. Closely followed by Operator and then Cripples Crown. I would definetly buy it again if were lost of stolen because it's an amazing album. The only let down is that it cna be quite depressing, but it has some happy parts to it which will always cheer you up. // 10
