From the first track of this legandary Danzig album, you are taken into a world of blues-inspired guitar riffs, melodic, throat shattering ride. The first track has a nice tempo and keeps you intrested to here whats next. Flowing str8 into the next cut a nice "rewrite" of "Twist Of Cain" (from Danzig's first release). But still good enough to overlook that fact. Then Slowing it down for a nice meoldy(with a mississippi accent). Then speed it back up again for a depressingly evil song "Tired Of Being Alive". With a great blues riff. Then an acoustic blues song, which is arguably creative on danzigs behalf. A narrative lyrical song. Next song "Her Black Wings" has been praised by critics as Danzigs best song. Judge for urself. Then the next cut the very sinister "777". After that is one of the most innovative Danzig tracks, combining the acoustic guitar and electric at the same time. Very different from the rest of the album with a killer chorus. Then The next cut sounds hauntingly like a Queen song, if listened to properly. The rest of this beast of a CD is bluesy and sinister at the same time. Great work from Danzig and crew.

Danzig still continuing his Jim Morrison/Elvis style singing. But growing lyrically. Gone are the comic book, b-movie horror style songs of his first and previous bands "The Misfits" and "Samhain". Great concepts and subject matters. Great singing skills.

The definitive album by danzig.
