Draw: Simple To Severe

Sound — 8
The sound is very alternative rock. The lead singers voice sounds remarkably like the singer from Starsailor without being a straight up carbon copy of him. The sound ranges from mellow-slow tracks to full on rock epics. The sound is catchy and it is ineveitable that you will be humming along after just a couple of listens.

Lyrics — 8
The lyrics combine nicely with the guitar melodies and are catchy wothout being overley annoying and reptitive. The lyrics aren't notebly anything special but still manage to stick in your mind quite nicely, making you want to put on the record again and sing a long. Personally my favourite lyrics on the album feature in the song 'Silver Screen' - Is this everything it seems/ Just lonely hearts and broken dreams. They are genuinely heart-felt.

Overall Impression — 8
Compared to other artists in the indie-pop genre Draw take something done countless times before and make it their own. The band take their inspirations from bands such as Coldplay, Teenage Fanclub, Starsailor and JJ72 without being quite as whiney. Probably the most impressive songs on the album are 'Incidentally', 'Today', 'A Chance To Disappear' and 'She Want's Me'. Definitely worth buying.
