Sound: Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood got the idea of playing a concert together after playing a short set at Claptons "Crossroads Guitar Festival", and so they played together again in 2008 and this DVD is the Result of two concerts. It's not clear if it's taken only from one evening or both, because it is often interrupted by interview parts of Clapton and Winwood.
For those shows the two virtuosos were supported by Chris Stainton on Keyboards, Willie Weeks on bass and Ian Thomas on Drums. They play various genres, although most songs are bluesrock songs, they play also funk, pop, classic rock and pure blues.
You really feel like you're seeing "Blind Faith" in the 60s, though of course Winwoods voice got a little weaker (but really only a little compared to the 60s), and Claptons got much stronger (really much stronger if you compare to late Cream). // 10
Overall Impression: This is without a doubt the best Clapton DVD I own, and I own many. What really surprised me was Claptons guitar playing, most of the time it's almost as good as "From the Cradle" and even gets better on Voodoo Chile. There is really nothing bad on this DVD, though "No Face..." wouldn't have been necessary, but it is everything but bad. If it were stolen I'd buy it again, and be happy for the one who stole it because he now owns such a great piece of music. // 10
