Eyehategod: In The Name Of Suffering

Sound — 8
A downtuned feedback hellish ride thru a drug induced, alcoholic despair trip.

No idea. Mike Williams' vocals are just tortured screams, within the booklet you find various "writings" scatteed about in what seems to be no particular order that I guess are used as "lyrics". While reading these "lyrics" you really get a visual of extreme menal agony of everyday life influenced with use of hard drugs and cheap whiskey on an unstable mind.

Overall Impression — 10
This album is EyeHateGod's first and in my opinion one of their best. A slab of selfhateful tunes to fit perfectly to your worst bad acid trip or while coming down off a 3 day drug binge. Its vile, its slow, its offensively heavy, its sonic torture, its fucking beautiful. Spawned from the filthy dirge of New Orleans, it makes despair quite an enjoyable ride.
