Sound — 9
This DVD came with the Limited Edition version of 'The Singles' album and contained all of Feeders videos to date. From the very first, low budget and bad hair-do videos for 'Stereo World' and 'Tangerine' right up to the newest videos 'Lost And Found' and the high budget movie tie in of 'Shatter'. This DVD shows off all their videos accompanying the wonderfully diverse range of songs that Feeder have made. Any newbie to the church of Feeder will be introduced fantastically through this album/DVD combo, showcasing their greatest acheivements through the medium of your television as well as your stereo. Although there maybe nothing particularly new and unique in terms of songs their sound remains the one thing that truly puts them above the rest, whether youve heard all these songs already, or are just being introduced.
Content — 10
If you've already listened to the CD that this DVD came with then you should know most of the Tracks, and if you have all of Feeders albums from 'Polythene' onwards then there will be no songs you haven't heard already, but this is a DVD so its all about the videos and this shows all the ones they've done to date, from the very first 'Stereo World' right up to the most recent 'Lost and Found'. The DVD sets up all the videos in chronological order, from most recent to oldest, although I would recommend watching them from oldest one to newest, as you can see how the videos have progressed in quality and budget from the early days. In addition to the vids there is a little scrolling history of the band with backing music, but I warn you now, you'll have to pause it now and then, as its a bit too fast to read!! Great bunch of videos presented well.
Production Quality — 8
Not much to say really, all the videos quality depend on when they were made, however they're all presented simply and all the vids are easy to access with a very good looking menu screen with nice background music along with it.
Overall Impression — 10
A great mix of Feeders videos showing their growth from small, little known band with low budgets and bad hair-dos to a major band with a decent hairdresser! You'll want to watch these videos again and again, especially the orange boilersuit tinged 'Stereo World'(Just check out Takas hair alright), the pure genius that is the 'Just a Day' video and the super fast editing of 'Lost And Found'. There isnt a video you wont like on here I assure you and I would reccommend this to anyone whose in to Feeder, well worth the extra couple of quid!
